Terms of Service

By creating an account or using KiwaConnect, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.
1. About KiwaConnect
KiwaConnect is a professional networking and empowerment platform operated by KiwaConnect (Pvt) Ltd, a company registered in Zimbabwe. The platform is designed exclusively for women entrepreneurs, professionals, and organisations operating in or supporting the Zimbabwean economy.
2. Eligibility
To use KiwaConnect you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate and truthful registration information
- Not be prohibited from receiving services under applicable Zimbabwean law
- Have the legal authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organisation
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must notify us immediately at support@kiwaconnect.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
You may not create more than one account, transfer your account, or use another member’s account without their explicit written consent.
4. Acceptable Use
4.1 You agree to:
- Use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
- Represent yourself, your skills, and your organisation accurately
- Respect other members and engage constructively in community discussions
- Only send connection requests to people you know or have a legitimate professional reason to contact
4.2 You agree NOT to:
- Post spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or misleading content
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other members
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any organisation
- Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or platform systems
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to extract platform data without written permission
- Post content that is unlawful under Zimbabwean law, including defamatory, obscene, or inciting content
5. Content You Post
You retain ownership of any content you post (“User Content”). By posting User Content, you grant KiwaConnect a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, store, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating the platform.
You represent and warrant that you have the rights necessary to grant this licence, and that your User Content does not violate any applicable law or third-party rights.
We may remove User Content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or our Community Guidelines, without notice or liability to you.
6. Opportunity Listings
Funding opportunities, tenders, and events displayed on KiwaConnect are sourced from public third-party websites and from partner organisations. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any listing. You should independently verify all opportunities before applying.
KiwaConnect is not a party to, and bears no responsibility for, any transaction or agreement you enter into as a result of using the platform.
7. Mentorship
Mentorship sessions facilitated through KiwaConnect are arranged between members directly. KiwaConnect is not a party to any mentorship agreement and is not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or outcomes of mentorship advice. Mentors are volunteers and are not agents or employees of KiwaConnect.
8. Document Assistant
The document generation feature (e.g., CR6 incorporation forms) produces documents for informational purposes only. This is not legal advice. You must review any generated document with a qualified legal practitioner before submitting it to the Zimbabwe Registrar of Companies or any other authority.
9. Intellectual Property
The KiwaConnect name, logo, brand, and platform code are the intellectual property of KiwaConnect (Pvt) Ltd and are protected under Zimbabwean and international intellectual property law. You may not use them without our prior written permission.
10. Privacy
Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using KiwaConnect, you consent to the data practices described therein.
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time from Settings → Advanced → Delete account.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activity, or if we are required to do so by law. We will provide notice where reasonably practicable unless disclosure is prohibited.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Zimbabwean law, KiwaConnect and its officers, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed USD 100 or the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zimbabwe. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved first through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Zimbabwe.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
